I am Coach Dani! I am an ultra-marathoner, kale lover, thrift shopper,  and mama to my son, Flair, who I love pushing around in his BOB! Growing up in Michigan, I ran cross country and track in both high school and college with moderate success. I excelled as a professional, where I ran for the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project and competed at the 2016 Olympic Marathon Trials. Shortly thereafter, I moved to trail racing and won the 2017 USA 50 Mile National Championship. I was on the 2018 USA Trail Running Team, which placed third in Spain that year. I currently work as a sexual assault advocate and in 2019, I ran 340 miles down the state of Michigan while raising $6,000 for survivors of sexual and domestic abuse.

Half Marathon: 1:16:28
Marathon: 2:41:32
50K: 3:31:32
50 Mile: 9:03 (2017 National Champion)

COACHING & EDUCATION BACKGROUND:

I believe in holistic, supportive, and nurturing coaching from the 5k to ultra marathons. As a mother, I value finding balance in life and have experience both running through pregnancy and returning to pregnancy postpartum. I also specialize in trauma-informed coaching and have professional experience working with individuals who need a coach to understand how these experiences affect their everyday life.

Prior to working at FFR, I was an assistant coach at Romeo Middle School, Head Track & Cross Country coach at Cleary University, and coach of the Hansons Running Shop Tuesday Night Speed Sessions for adults. 
I have coached athletes of all ages and abilities from walk/running to 100 milers. Whether it is training for life, a Boston Qualifier, an OTQ, an age group win,  or new shiny PR, I would love to help!
