Owner and Coach Katie Kellner
I started coaching in 2014, as part of Hansons Coaching Services. During that time, I worked with hundreds of runners, from those aiming to run their first 5K to those trying to crush the Boston Marathon. I have had the privilege of working with many great coaches over the years, allowing me to shape my own training philosophy. My favorite part of coaching is building interpersonal relationships with each of my athletes, and I am happy to work with any level runner in events from the 5k-marathon.
I have my bachelor's degree in Human Biology & Health from Cornell University and my Masters in Public Health from Boston University. I often refer to the information I've gathered about health, nutrition, anatomy & physiology and psychology to tweak my athletes' training plans and answer their questions. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and always seem to learn new things from each athlete that I coach!

RUNNING BACKGROUND: |
I continued running through high school and then into college. At Cornell University, I was a Division I All-American in both Cross Country and the 10K on the track. I was also Ivy League Champion in both of those events. In 2023, 10 years after graduating, I was inducted into the Cornell Athletics Hall of Fame.

Immediately after college, I ran professionally for the Hansons-Brooks Original Distance Project. During this time, I competed for Team USA twice -the 2013 International Chiba Ekiden in Chiba, Japan and the 2014 Great Edinburgh Cross Country Race in Edinburgh, Scotland. I also raced my first marathon at the 2016 Olympic Marathon Trials, placing 28th.

In 2016, I moved to Boston, which is where I currently reside. I joined the Boston Athletic Association and qualified and competed in the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials. In 2021, I joined the Craftsbury Green Racing Project, sponsored by Tracksmith. Most recently, I placed 31st at the 2022 Boston Marathon, was 4th American at the 2023 Berlin Marathon, and plan to compete at the 2024 Olympic Marathon Trials. Read more about me.
